Peugeot has released the first teaser images of their 208 T16 race car that will compete in the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb.

Set to enter the Unlimited Class, the model appears to feature a carbon fiber exterior with extended side skirts and a side-exiting exhaust. We can also see a roof-mounted air intake, a massive rear wing and grippy Michelin tires.

The stripped out interior has a digital instrument cluster, a carbon fiber racing seat and an intricate roll cage. There’s also alloy pedals and an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters.

The car will be driven Sébastien Loeb who will tackle the 20 km (12.4 mile) long course that features 156 turns and a 1500 meter (4921 foot) elevation change.

The car will be unveiled later this month, so stay tuned for full details.
