BMW home tells us that a true successor of BMW 1M is rumored to be on sale by 2016, influenced by technology found in the last M3 and M4 models.
M2 will likely use a modified model of M235i 3.0 six- cylinder engine with a maximum power around 360+HP, enough performance to separate it from the M235i model 320 hp, but not enough to reach up on the new M3 and M4 models.
M2 will borrow plenty of technology from its bigger brothers that includes chassis enhancements and the Active M Differential.
In order to keep the M2 cost low, may not come standard with Adaptive M Suspension but expect a wide variety of settings to alter the handling of the model…
