The new BMW M3 is definitely one of the most anticipated cars for this summer. With the official intro getting near, we’re getting a good idea of how the car will look. These renderings are courtesy of AutoExpress UK. According to reports, the next-gen M3 (F80 M3) will have a carbon-fiber roof and be available with ceramic brakes. Providing the power will be the S55 (a turbocharged 6-cylinder) that’ll deliver 440 hp to the rear wheels. Redline will be a screaming 8000 rpm. It will come mated to a manual gearbox or 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. Because of the car’s lower weight and more power (more than the V-8 it replaces), the M3 will be a road rocket, getting to 62 mph in 4.3 seconds.
If you’re wondering why the car shown here is a 4-door, it’s because the coupe version will go by the name M4.
