Back in 2011 at the Shanghai Auto Show, Italian coachbuilder, Icona, unveiled the Fuselage concept car. Now, two years after, at the same show the company will bring another great concept car, or at least the promise of one.
The new concept car is called the “Vulcano” (Italian word for “Volcano”) and, according to the first details we have, it brings “together the Beauty and the Beast.” The teaser unveiled today shows almost much nothing on the new Vulcano concept, but it will feature an evolution of the design language introduced on the Icona Fuselage concept.
Under the hood, the concept will get a V-12 engine developed by Claudio Lombardi, former powertrain technical director of Ferrari. This V-12 engine will combine with a pair of electric motors for a total output of 900 horsepower. The sprint from 0 to 200 km/h (124 mph) will be made in less than 10 seconds, while top speed will be somewhere in the 217 mph area.
