The 2015 Acura NSX Prototype makes a dynamic debut in two short videos posted by Acura Insider, the company’s official Twitter account.
The clips are little more than teasers that appear to herald a major social-media campaign for the supercar.
The short videos amount to about a 15-second look at the Acura NSX in action. The second video comes with the following text: “Six seconds not enough to satisfy your #AcuraNSX craving? Here’s 9 extra seconds of heart-pounding desire.”
The 2015 Acura NSX prototype will take a lap on August 4 before the Mid-Ohio Indy 200. The event will be broadcast live at 3 p.m. EDT on NBC.
The prototype bears a strong resemblance to the concept.
Honda announced earlier that it will build the Acura NSX in Ohio. The 2015 NSX will be produced exclusively at a new $70-million Performance Manufacturing Center in Marysville, Ohio, and exported around the world.
Honda said earlier that the NSX will begin mass production in 2015. Pricing has not been announced.
