Lamborghini has officially unveiled their new Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse.
Designed to bring “race track emotion directly to the road,” the Squadra Corse is named after Lamborghini’s motorsport department and is based on the Gallardo Super Trofeo. As a result, it features carbon fiber components, a quick-release engine cover and a prominent rear wing. The model has also been equipped gloss black accents and tri-color stripes.
Interior changes are relatively limited but the model comes nicely equipped with an Alcantara-wrapped dashboard and carbon fiber trim. We can also see alloy pedals, racing seats and special Squadra Corse badging.
Like the Gallardo Super Trofeo, the Squadra Corse is powered by a V10 engine that develops 570 HP (419 kW). It is connected to a six-speed e-gear transmission which enables the 1340 kg (2954 lbs) supercar to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.4 seconds, 0-200 km/h in 10.4 seconds and onto a top speed of 320 km/h (199 mph).
The Gallardo Squadra Corse will be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, so stay tuned for full details.
