Each year the team at Carlisle Events gathers some of the best and most unique Corvettes around to include in the annual rite of summer known as Corvettes at Carlisle. For 2013 they’ve already announced that the George Barris built Asteroid Corvette will be reintroduced there after a complete restoration. Now they’re looking for some more modified Corvettes for this year’s show – 4×4 Corvettes. Yes, you read that correctly.

In the last few months we’ve had a couple of lifted, 4 x 4 Corvettes on the site. We found awhite 1980 in Michigan and a black 1978 in Texas. Both cars were listed on Craigslist and their respective listings have since expired. We also stumbled across the mud boggin’ C2 in November last year. And, of course, who can forget the old school Monster Vette C4 monster truck?

Love ‘em or hate ‘em you can’t help but stop and stare at a lifted Corvette. They’re both so right and so wrong all at the same time. Plus, we’re pretty certain that there’s never been a gathering of 4 wheel drive Corvettes assembled before.

Our friends over at Carlisle Events are seeking out some 4 x 4 Corvettes and their owners for possible inclusion at this year’s Corvettes at Carlisle show. If you have one or know of someone who has one of these “unique” Corvettes the folks at Carlisle Events would like to hear from you. Although we’re not exactly sure what they’ve got in mind, we do know that it would be a display that you’ve likely never seen before.
